Description: yellow powder with low specific smell.
Composition: the product contains iodoform, streptocide, boric acid.
Pharmacological properties: the product has antiseptic, astringent, possesses drying action. Its action is caused by pharmacologically prorerties of ingredients. Iodoform does not react with organic substances, but under certain conditions formes from active iodine. It is influenced by light, oxygen, oxyhemoglobin and especially tissue fluids ptomaine and microbes. This process is slow because iodine is released for a long time (2-3 hours). Iodine destroys decay products and other harmful substances, including toxins, stimulates the formation of granulation. Iodine albuminates formed on the surface of the wound act binder, in combination with resolving the action leads to the reduction of ekstrudate and limit inflammation. Streptocid has a broad spectrum of activity on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. By its action streptocid is a typical bacteriological means. Boric acid reveals bacteriostatic action and a weak stimulating effect on granulation tissue.
Application: for treatment of cattle, sheep, horses, pigs, carnivores (dogs, cats) dermatological diseases (eczema, dermatitis, purulent wounds and postoperative).
Administration route and dosage: the product apply externally. Before applying the affected area clean from hair, indifferencet bodies, extrudate, necrotic tissue. To powder (3-5 g) of product the affected areas of the skin and also 2-4 cm around them. The treatment is carried out 1-2 times a day.
Contraindication: hypersensitivity to the components of the product.
Release form: packages of aluminum foil and plastic bags on 10-1 000 g.
Storage: in dry dark place at temperature from 15°С to 25°С.
Shelf life: 2 years.
